
About Me
Robert Brenner is a public historian. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in history at the CUNY Graduate Center. He specializes in 20th century New York City history. His fields of research include queer, Jewish, food, cultural, and political histories. He is also a licensed New York City tour guide and a certified member of the Guides Association of New York City (GANYC). He has led walking tours and webinars for many different organizations, including the Barnard College Club of New York, the Historic District Council, the Hunter College Jewish Studies Center, the Municipal Art Society, the Museum of Sex, New York Adventure Club, the New York Public Library, the Tenement Museum, the Times Square Alliance, Untapped New York, and the Van Alen Institute. He is also a published author whose work has appeared in New York Magazine, the Huffington Post, and Salon. He lives in Chelsea with his wife.

About My Tours
All tours are $200 for up to 12 people, payable in advance, and about two hours in duration. Contact me via email to arrange a date and time. I am generally available weekends, but have some flexibility.
