Eat Like A Local: Times Square
It's Not All Tourist Traps And Corporate Chains
Service Description
Times Square is full of tourist traps and boring chain restaurants. But there are some surprisingly good cheap ethnic joints to eat—if you know where to look. On this food walking tour, we will sample food from China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Bolivia, Ecuador, Cuba, Mexico, India, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Belgium, Germany, and Italy: delicious dim sum, tempting tacos, savory saltenas, mouth-watering malatang, crave-worthy Cubanos, killer kebabs, tasty tortas, brilliant bahn mi, bodacious bitterballen, sensational samsa, perfect pernil, fabulous fried chicken, and, of course, those New York City classics, the humble hotdog and the standard slice of pizza. Along the way, we will discuss the history of eating in Times Square. ALL FOOD INCLUDED (no drinks).
